find-your-voice-e1343612734137

Many years ago, during a particularly difficult time, I was sitting in pained silence as we flew above a sea of flame trees.  I was sinking deeper into despair, even as I found joy in the sea of orange before and below me. Then I heard it: “find your voice”. It was loud enough so that I looked around, only to find that everyone was looking elsewhere. No one was speaking, nor looked as though they had just spoken. Come to think of it, was there really a sound to the message? Maybe not. But it was so clear.

That has been the theme of my life since, from writing to speaking out, even if I am the voice of dissent or ignorance.  Over the years I have peeled the layers of my self-consciousness to get to my voice. It’s a work in progress.

I recently turned 47. Whew. And I decided to launch yet another portal for my voice and, hopefully, other women’s voices as well.  It took me about two years to finally get this done. I hope it’s as helpful as I envisioned it to be.

Please visit Women In Transition when you can, and do spread the word if you feel so inclined.  I hope this new endeavour helps others find their voices as well. It’s about time we’re all heard.
